How the research stays rigorous

  • Objectives give the analysis a clear purpose. Findings answer the questions the study set out to investigate.
  • Adaptive follow-ups add depth. Interpretations take account of whether an idea emerged spontaneously, through a follow-up or from a presented choice.
  • Cohorts make comparisons explicit. Counts and differences are read with their filters and denominator.
  • Citations keep claims verifiable. Reviewers can move from a conclusion or quote to the answers behind it.
  • Counterexamples set the boundary. Disagreement and minority views help define where a pattern applies and where it does not.

Review the result

Start with the answer to each research objective, then open the findings that support it. Check quoted wording against the transcript, compare several cited answers and confirm the cohort behind any count. Qualitative research explains experiences, motivations and patterns within the people studied. The evidence may support a confident decision without representing incidence across a wider market. The wording of a report should reflect that boundary.
