Verso gives you three ways to check a study before participants arrive.
  • Preview opens one section while you are editing it. Use it for wording, answer choices, and stimulus layout.
  • Test live runs a section with the live interviewer behavior. Use it to check open questions and follow-up guidance.
  • Start interview runs the complete journey, including screening, conditions, media permissions, and endings.
Viewers can preview sections and test them live too, from the study’s settings page, which opens read-only for them, but they cannot change the study. Test interviews created while a study is in Draft are labelled as tests. They do not count toward quotas or the completion target, and moving the study to Live hides them, except one whose answer is being saved at that exact moment. While the study is in Draft, each voice question the interviewer asks, follow-ups included, carries a feedback bubble. Click it to leave notes on that question as you go, or switch to the question just before it once you have moved on. Anyone you share the Draft link with can do the same, so a walk-through doubles as a review of the guide. Notes appear beside the answers on the test interview’s page. Once the study is Live, the bubble is gone. Before launch, complete the study on a phone and a computer. Try each screener outcome, conditional route, language, and panel redirect. For audio or video studies, check permissions and recording in a normal participant environment.
Once a study is Live, Start interview creates a fieldwork interview that can count toward the study. Use Test live for quick checks during fieldwork.
