Explore a coded theme
Each coding dimension defines a question to classify, the answers in scope and the codes used. Open a code to see the answers assigned to it. Counts follow the active cohort filters, so check the filters and denominator before sharing a distribution. An exclusive dimension assigns at most one code to an answer. A multiple dimension can capture several ideas in the same answer.Build a useful codebook
- Define dimensions around the questions you want to compare.
- Review the name, meaning, scope and codes so category boundaries are clear.
- Classify the interviews, then inspect examples and ambiguous answers.
- Refine and rerun a dimension when assignments do not match the intended meaning.
