# From business question to evidence

> See how a focused research question becomes a clear, supported finding.

A useful study connects what your business needs to decide with what customers actually say. In Verso, the same research objectives guide the interviews and organize the findings.

## One example

Imagine an international consumer brand evaluating a refill format.

| Stage | Example |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Business decision** | Should we launch the refill format? |
| **Research objective** | What would make shoppers choose it over their usual pack? |
| **Interview question** | Tell me about the last time you chose a product in this category. What mattered to you? |
| **Follow-up** | You mentioned convenience. What would make refilling practical at home? |
| **Finding** | A conclusion about the conditions for adoption, supported by the interviews |

This is an illustrative example. The research determines the findings, including results that challenge the team's initial expectations.
