# Evidence and traceability

> Follow report citations from a finding to its supporting answers, recordings and related analysis.

Verso keeps research conclusions connected to their sources. From a report, you can move from a claim or quote to the relevant participant answer, finding, coded theme or question analysis.

## Verify a conclusion

    Select the numbered citation beside the statement or quote to see the source
    it refers to.

  <Step title="Read the evidence in context">
    Review the surrounding answer or open the full interview. Play the recording
    when wording, tone or transcription accuracy matters.

  <Step title="Check who is represented">
    For a count or comparison, confirm the cohort, filters and denominator. Look
    for disagreement as well as supporting examples.

An exact playback position is available when the quote has timestamp data. Some study-level statements are attributed in prose rather than linked to a single answer.

Traceability helps you judge how well an interpretation fits the study. It does not make a qualitative sample representative of a wider market, or make one interpretation the only valid reading.
