# Launch and refine your study

> Launch a study, manage live edits, and return to an earlier version.

Moving a study to **Live** opens its participant link. Verso checks the required setup first and shows anything that still needs attention.

## Editing during fieldwork

Changes to a live study save directly. A participant already in the interview can receive the updated setup when they move to the next question. Test urgent corrections before saving them, and avoid changing question meaning once responses have been collected. Verso asks for confirmation when a significant question change could affect completed interviews.

For a substantial redesign, close recruitment first or duplicate the study so the original evidence remains easy to interpret.

## Returning to an earlier version

Version history records groups of study edits. Open it to review previous versions and restore an earlier setup when needed. After restoring, test the affected route before reopening recruitment.

<Warning>
  A restore changes the study setup. It does not remove interviews or rewrite answers already collected.
