Visual follow-ups help the interviewer ask about relevant actions while a participant completes a task on video or shares their screen. The conversation can respond to what is observed, bringing the research closer to the moment when a choice, hesitation, workaround, or problem occurs.

Use this capability for usability studies, journey research, digital experience reviews, and other tasks where behavior provides context that a spoken account alone may miss. A timely probe can uncover what the participant expected, why they chose a path, and how the experience shaped their response.

Design the task around a focused research objective and leave room for participants to act naturally. Treat observed actions and participant explanations as complementary evidence when interpreting the result.
