# Research privacy and control

Customer research deserves careful handling. Verso provides controlled access to studies and private storage for recordings and uploaded research material.

## Who can see our research?

Your team controls which colleagues can access a study and who can edit it. Give stakeholders access to the research relevant to their work. See [Team access](/administration/members-and-roles).

## How do we handle personal information?

Collect only the personal information needed for your research and plan participant consent appropriate for your project. Your Verso contact can help define how to handle identifying details across recordings, transcripts and research deliverables.

## What about retention and data processing?

Ask your Verso contact for the current data processing agreement, provider information and retention terms relevant to your organization. We can also help define the scope of a deletion request.
